Educational institutions share experiences in environmental management

  • The activity is free, aimed at elementary school, high school, and university teachers. It will be held on Tuesday October 11 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in the National Council of Presidents CONARE auditorium. 

October 2016. The Costa Rican Netwrok of Sustainable Educational Institutions and the National Council of Presidents have organized a meeting called, “Environmental Management Experiences”. The activity will assist teachers interested in learning about successful environmental action programs.

Manrique Arguedas, coordinator of the EARTH University Environmental Action Unit and president of REDIES stated that, “the objective of this event is to share the significant progress in the education sector in order to develop actions that can continue to support sustainability and future prospects.”

This event is held within the framework of the Declaration of Higher Education Institutions for Mother Earth, and will feature national and international speakers on sustainability issues, university environmental management, and climate change.

The event is free and will be held on Tuesday October 11 at 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in the auditorium of the National Council of Presidents CONARE. Space is limited and registration must be made through email at mzuniga@earth.ac.cr or by telephone at 2713- 0461. The deadline for entries is October 7, 2016.
