ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR
TYPE OF CONTRACT: JANUARY TO AUGUST, 2024 EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT: FULL TIME
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate student learning of English as a foreign language for students at the A2 level by teaching four three-hour classes during the first and second term and at the C1 level by teaching an advanced two-hour elective during the second term
- Maintain office hours to meet with students outside of the scheduled class time
- Participate in the activities of the English Program (attending monthly meetings, supporting the placement process in the first term, etc.)
- Participate in other activities (work experience, faculty meetings, level meetings and activities, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licenciatura degree in Teaching English as a Second Language or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- English level: C1
- Willingness to live and work in a rural area
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Willingness and ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team environment
- Extensive experience teaching English to young adults from diverse backgrounds
- Capable of using technology in the classroom and online platforms (such as Moodle)
