Costa Rica will celebrate August 4th as the “day of the banana worker”

The congressman for the Broad Front political party, Gerardo Vargas, is leading a project that aims to proclaim August 4th as the day of the banana farm worker in Costa Rica.

EARTH University has a 330 hectare banana farm that provides work for 180 people from the nearby communities. Growing, harvesting and packing these sustainably grown bananas that will be exported to the European and US markets, is done in the farm.

Thanks to the work of these 180 employees, the earnings from these sales contribute to the education of these leaders of change that come from all across the world.
