From January 20-24, EARTH is hosting on its Guácimo campus a delegation from Chatham University, an educational institution located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The group includes 16 members of Chatham University’s Board of Trustees and senior leadership team, as well as faculty and administrators from the School of Sustainability and the Environment (SSE) at Chatham.

Chatham University awarded EARTH University president José Zaglul with an honorary doctorate in public service in 2010. Since then, led by Dr. Esther Barazzone, Chatham University President and Dr. Zaglul, the two institutions have been exploring opportunities for collaboration and exchange.

In 2008, Chatham University founded the School of Sustainability and the Environment (SSE), which is now admitting students to two graduate programs: a Master of Arts in Food Studies and a Master of Sustainability.
