Qualifications
- Graduate degree (preferably a Ph.D.) in communication sciences, language and education, or related fields.
- Experience in leadership, critical thinking, educational innovation, or scientific communication.
- Expertise in emerging social and professional communication media, as well as technological and digital tools.
- Teaching experience (attach official teaching evaluations).
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Excellent abilities in inter-disciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Availability to live and work in a rural area.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development of oral, written, interpersonal, intercultural, and digital communication competencies, fostering students’ skills in argumentation, critical analysis, active listening, leadership, and effective communication.
- Guide students in the interpretation, analysis, and communication of scientific and technical information, promoting information literacy and the critical and ethical use of academic sources, while supporting the preparation of technical reports, articles, essays, proposals, and academic presentations.
- Be part of the University’s academic communication team.
- Facilitate student learning through applied principles and experiences in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Participate in outreach activities of the University and the International Academic Relations Office.
- Participate in research projects, in the Work Experience course and other activities that involve students of the University and in scientific or professional activities.
- Support other activities of the Academic Program on both Campuses (Guácimo, Limón or Liberia, Guanacaste) and any other services that contribute directly to the integral education of the student.
