Qualifications:
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or Agricultural Engineering, with a graduate degree (preferably a Ph.D.) in Animal Science or related fields.
- Extensive hands-on experience in animal production.
- Experience in animal production systems, with a focus on the implementation of sustainable techniques.
- Proven excellence in teaching (attach evaluations).
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Strong ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Willingness to live, work, and travel in rural areas of Costa Rica.
Responsibilities:
EARTH University is looking for qualified candidates to:
- Guide students in learning the principles, skills, and practical experiences of sustainable agricultural production systems through the courses offered in the program.
- Play an active role in the academic program’s animal production team.
- Facilitate student learning through theoretical foundations and applied experiences in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Participate in outreach activities of the University and the International Academic Relations office.
- Engage in research projects, the Work Experience course, and other activities involving University students, as well as in scientific or professional events within the candidate’s field.
- Support other academic program activities and University service (on both campuses; Guácimo, Limón and Liberia, Guanacaste) that contribute to students’ comprehensive education.
