Bryan, from Nicaragua, is an expert in Animal Science with a career focused on research, academic management, and climate sustainability. He holds a master’s degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Doctorate (PhD) from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. His scientific work has been recognized with the National Award for Research Career Achievement, along with several national and international distinctions in the fields of innovation and research.
Bryan’s strong academic record is reflected in numerous publications in high-impact international scientific journals. In higher education, he has extensive experience as a lecturer in master’s and doctoral programs and has played a key role in coordinating regional academic mobility initiatives.
At the institutional level, he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Director of Graduate Studies, and Director of External Cooperation at the National Agrarian University. His technical experience includes consultancy work for FAO, IICA, and CATIE, leading projects on climate change adaptation and low-carbon livestock systems. He has coordinated international research networks including the Forage Maize Network North–South, as well as national programs like PROMARANGO, integrating resource management with regional technology transfer.
