Sergio is the professor of Communication and Critical Thinking, as well as Communication and Leadership at EARTH University since 2014, where he also coordinates the activities of the Humanities Forum. Sergio is a Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literature from Stony Brook University in New York and has a BA in Hispanic Philology from the University of Zaragoza in Spain. He has served as a professor there and at the University of Valencia (Spain) and has been a visiting professor at Dartmouth College (New Hampshire) and the University of Milan (Italy). He investigates narratives and oral and popular cultures in the Hispanic sphere, which are the subject of publications such as Lope de Aguirre and the Rebellion of the Marañones (in collaboration with Beatriz Pastor) and Culturas mágicas.
