Jaime is a professor of Pest Management: Diseases, for second-year students and participates in the Work Experience program. He has research papers published in phytopathology in scientific journals focusing on etiology, diagnosis, epidemiology, and integrated management of tropical crop diseases. Originally from Brazil, Jaime is an Agronomic Engineer from EARTH University with a Ph.D. in Phytopathology from the Federal University of Viçosa in Brazil. He also worked as a professor of Soil Microbiology at the Federal University of Oeste da Bahia in Brazil. The main objective of his course, which is also his professional motivation, is stimulating critical thinking about existing plant pathological information that will allow students to manage plant diseases ethically and sustainably.
