Qualifications:
EARTH University is seeking qualified candidates to:
- Lead the Student Affairs team.
- Be part of the academic team, reporting directly to the Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Structure and ensure the execution of the Department’s Annual Activity Plan.
- Develop and monitor the annual budget in accordance with institutional policies.
- Ensure the integration of the department into the Academic Program as an essential component.
- Lead institutional efforts aimed at ensuring students’ overall well-being.
- Promote the educational principle of “learning by living together.”
- Facilitate students’ learning related to university life.
- Support academic program activities and services at the university’s campuses (Guácimo, Limón, and Liberia, Guanacaste) that contribute to students’ holistic development.
Responsibilities:
EARTH University is looking for qualified candidates to:
- A university degree in education, psychology, social sciences, educational administration, or related fields.
- A postgraduate degree related to educational management, student development, leadership, or related areas.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in student life management roles, preferably in higher education institutions.
- Proven experience in leadership roles, whether as a director or coordinator of student programs, extracurricular activities, or student well-being initiatives.
- Ability to inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team; ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and administrative staff.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Ability to design and implement academic and extracurricular programs that promote students’ development and well-being.
- Capacity to adapt to different cultures, perspectives, and needs, as well as to professionally handle difficult emotional and social situations that may affect students.
- Ability to anticipate needs and develop creative solutions to emerging problems.
- Skills in planning, monitoring, and evaluating work plans and budgets.
- Strong alignment with the institution’s mission to create a more prosperous and just society, and commitment to working based on values.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Knowledge of technological platforms that facilitate management and communication.
