Rural Development and Sustainable Communities / Opportunities for Development and Equity

Julieta is a professor of Social and Human Development, teaching the courses of Rural Development and Sustainable Communities, and Opportunities for Development and Equity. She oversees the Community Scenario at EARTH as well as the PDC/Community work team. Julieta is from Argentina, where she graduated with a degree in International Relations from the University of Salvador. She obtained her Master’s degree in Environmental and Territorial Studies from the University of Deusto in Spain and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the National University of Costa Rica. Her work focuses on community engagement at EARTH, community development and rural development, social awareness, rural women, and equity and sustainability. Julieta has written several articles about experiential learning, community organization and participation, and community engagement.
