Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy (Crop Science, specifically) with a Master’s or PhD. in this or a related field, and extensive practical experience in tropical crops production, crop physiology, plant nutrition, and/or sustainable agriculture.

Teaching experience (Attach official teaching evaluations).

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Excellent abilities in inter-disciplinary and multicultural teams.

Availability to live and work in a rural area.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Tropical Crops courses.
- Facilitate student learning in: principles, skills, and theoretical-practical experiences in crops production systems, with a focus in the tropics.
- Facilitate student learning through applied principles and experiences in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Participate in outreach activities of the University and the International Academic Relations Office.
- Participate in research projects, in the Work Experience course and other activities that involve students of the University and in scientific or professional activities.
- Support other activities of the Academic Program on either Campuses (Guácimo, Limón or Liberia, Guanacaste) and any other services that contribute directly to the integral education of the student.
