EARTH University’s Office of International Academic Relations offers a wide variety of educational programs to satisfy student tastes and your institution’s credit requirements. Programs for graduate-level researchers and professors are also available.

Summary of our programs

Sustainable Summer Sessions (Summer in English)

EARTH University, in partnership with highly respected universities worldwide, offers a unique summer study abroad opportunity in Costa Rica. All four two-week courses are taught in English.

Integrated Study in Spanish

Your students can become a fully integrated EARTH student for an entire semester (15 weeks), learning about agriculture and sustainability in a richly multicultural environment. Intermediate-to-advanced Spanish is required.

Intern Abroad /Pasantias

Students learn by doing in career-focused field projects under the supervision of EARTH faculty. Dates are flexible. Intermediate Spanish is required.

Spanish Learning Courses

Students can enhance their Spanish as a supplement to any of the above or as a standalone Spanish as a Second Language program.

Faculty Development Program

These custom programs for faculty members are designed to expound on EARTH’s academic model of student-centered and experiential learning. English and Spanish instruction are available.

Sabbatical, Guest Lecture or Joint Research Project

EARTH offers ample facilities to accommodate foreign professors interested in teaching or conducting research at EARTH for a fixed time.

Customizable & Faculty-Led Programs

For academic institutions in need of courses covering particular topics – in Spanish, English or both – or meeting specific needs, we offer tailor-made programs, which can be led by visiting faculty, EARTH professors or a combination of the two.
