Sandra, from the country of Malawi, gained agricultural experience as a young child by working with her grandmother, who worked as a farmer. In high school Sandra led the debate team and organized many youth activities like sports days and shows. She was recognized as a youth ambassador when she was nominated by the website Afripoet as a role model of the week. After high school she gained experience working as a TV producer.
“When I heard about EARTH, I saw that it was a dream place for me. I really like agriculture. It was that thing I always knew I wanted to do. My country has a devastatingly high rate of unemployment, so I am hoping I can develop my skills here at EARTH and have the ability to train and employ people so that they can also open their own businesses.”
