Born in the medium-sized city of Tete, Joaquím has spent most of his life in Beira, the second-largest city in Mozambique.
When he heard about EARTH University from a Mozambican graduate, he was very drawn to EARTH’s social consciousness combined with its hands-on, business-oriented approach to agriculture.
One day he hopes to be an important business leader in his home country; but unlike what he has seen commonly, he wants to be one that treats workers and others well.
In this way, he hopes to address community and global food needs, economic inequality, and environmental concerns through entrepreneurship.
