Alex comes from Kakindu Trading Centre in the Mityana province of Uganda.
He has had solid experience in agriculture, having spent time working on his family’s banana plantation, planting an acre of eucalyptus trees with his father, and caring for his family’s cows.
He hopes to apply the entrepreneurial, environmental, and social lessons he has learned at EARTH immediately in his home village. “Employing just ten people—to start with—and paying them well would be a great achievement for me.
Then I will have contributed something,” he says.
