Peter was born in a rural area in eastern Uganda, where his father is a schoolteacher and his mother works in the home. Peter always felt drawn to study agriculture. “I grew up in an agricultural family. I really enjoy the work so much, working with animals and crops.”
With the help of a scholarship, Peter attended an agricultural college focusing on animal production and management. After college, he found a job in northern Uganda with Freedom in Creation, an educational center and farm that inspires a healthy and sustainable community. After first volunteering, he was eventually offered the job of farm manager.
Peter heard about EARTH through Freedom in Creation. He knew he wanted to study at EARTH so he could come back and improve the organization to which he is now dedicated. “I would love to improve Freedom in Creation by making it more sustainable.”
