Norman is from Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Growing up, Norman helped his uncle care for cattle, in addition to planting maize and other cash crops with his parents. He was selected to attend the Cornerstone Leadership Academy where he held leadership positions as a Care Group Leader and School Chair. He is also the president and founder of Builders of Hope Africa, an organization that today provides tuition fees and school supplies for 17 primary school children in Rwanda.

Norman heard about EARTH University through a current student and decided it was the best place to continue developing his considerable leadership skills and gain knowledge in sustainable agriculture. “I want to become a leader who transforms my nation, not only in agriculture but in other aspects as well. You can’t tell people to be peaceful, to be happy and united if they don’t have anything to eat. I want to find a way to feed not only Rwanda but Africa as a whole.”
