Maybelle grew up in an urban area near San Salvador, El Salvador. As a child, Maybelle loved visiting her grandfather’s farm, where he grew vegetables and raised dairy cows.
She heard about EARTH while interning at an agricultural school in Wisconsin. With her preparation at EARTH, she dreams of someday making her grandfather’s farm prosper again and benefit the community.
In addition, although she embraces the spirit of international cooperation, she wants to use her entrepreneurial training from EARTH to help her country grow its internal economy, especially in terms of food security.
