Dolores grew up in the mountainous town of Marcala in southwest Honduras.For most of her life, Dolores has helped her family with their home orchard.
Her high school also has a small agricultural program, and she was one of a very small number of young women to participate in the program.
When she heard about EARTH from a member of the church, she knew she wanted to apply, as she loves the idea of “transforming the world” in ecological, socially just, and innovative ways.
She hopes that her training at EARTH will enable her to “participate in bettering the quality of life in my country and my community, especially the one to which my family belongs.”
