Addisu is from Bule Hora, Ethiopia. His family produces coffee, and also grows corn, beans, and enset.

He decided to focus on agriculture not only because of his parents’ farm, but also because a large majority of the population in Ethiopia are farmers.
In the future, Addisu plans to introduce new farming methods back home in Ethiopia that could improve farming conditions.

He is especially interested in coffee production since it is one of Ethiopia’s largest exports. Addisu also dreams of improving life in his community and country in ways unrelated to agriculture. “In Ethiopia there are so many orphans who have lost their families because of HIV/AIDS or other reasons, and they have the interest to learn but can’t go to school,” and Addisu wants to help them too.
