Abner comes from the city of Cobán in northern Guatemala.
He learned much about farming with his grandfather as he grew up, and Abner heard about EARTH through the agricultural high school he attended.
With his training at the University, he envisions serving his community by teaching people about efficient, ecological and innovative cultivation methods, and he also dreams of someday growing cardamom on his own farm.
