Thabu is from the rural village of Chinsali in Zambia and grew up on a farm, which is where she helped her cousin run a small-scale poultry business starting in middle school.
Thabu learned about EARTH University through a counselor and knew immediately that she wanted to apply. When she found out she had been accepted with a full scholarship, she says, “I screamed and screamed out of happiness, I couldn’t believe they wanted to support me for all of my education. God truly works wonders, it was just so surprising.”
“I want to use the knowledge and skills I acquire from EARTH University to contribute to a more efficient, sustainable and eco-friendly Zambia and African continent. Whatever we have today comes from the land, and if we improve the land we will become better Zambians. We need to work together, on our farms, and we will improve.”
