Fatumah is from eastern Uganda, in the Mubende district.
Together with her mother and elder sister, Fatumah financed her high school education by cultivating corn and selling it in the local markets. “I love agriculture because it is what has allowed me to become someone.”
She plans to take full advantage of the experiential education at EARTH, and use everything she learns to promote sustainable agriculture in Uganda. “After my four years of experience, I hope I will be able to make a big and visible difference in my family, my community as well as my country at large. My biggest interest is to supply my entire village with energy from biodigesters.”
