Arnold grew up in the semi-urban area of Kawanda, Wakiso District in central Uganda, where he received a full scholarship to complete his secondary school abroad. Before attending EARTH he took a gap year in which he participated in transformational leadership trainings for young students.
Arnold knew EARTH would be the right choice for him because he has long believed studying resource management, agriculture, community outreach, and entrepreneurialism will make him useful to his community. In the future, he hopes to be involved as an extension worker, reaching out to different communities and using creativity to teach people how to take charge of saving resources and reducing impact. He’s especially interested in tackling Uganda’s forest clear-cutting problem.
