Marianela comes from Carrera Buena de San Ramón, a small agricultural town in Costa Rica. Marianela has been involved in agriculture all her life, focusing mainly on animal production.
She speaks persuasively about the need to make Costa Rica’s cattle ranching systems more sustainable and feels that with her training at EARTH, she could offer her community the expertise and commitment needed to make positive changes. She feels excited to learn more about sustainable agronomy and also really wants to learn about waste management and classification.
When she finishes her studies at EARTH, she wants to go back to her community and work with young people to develop employment opportunities in the sustainable management of natural resources.
