Carlos Josué grew up in the small village of La Ermita in eastern Guatemala. He has helped his father care for the family’s dairy cows for many years, and he gained a lot of practical experience doing fieldwork at his high school.

When he learned about EARTH, he felt the school’s values and focus matched his perfectly.

Agriculture matters to him because of its essential role in feeding the world, and at EARTH, he is eager to learn about innovative and sustainable cultivation practices.

After graduating, he would like to begin working at an agricultural or natural resource management company and eventually collaborate with his family to create their own company.
