About position: Placed at Kayonza, Karongi, and Rutsiro stations direction – responsible for staff management, trials set up and follow up, equipment inventory, infrastructure maintenance, and improvement, overseeing the harvest management and sales according to protocols, updating station databases every week, performing ongoing and a meticulous data cleaning. | Coordinating procurement of inputs for Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials. | Building team capacity – Supporting my team (station managers, senior and junior officers) to develop so that they can gradually take over additional responsibilities. | Protocols review and improvement. | Develop and implement a strategy to increase station efficiency and offset costs. | Meteorological data collection and analysis – I compile and organize daily weather data from each station and liaise with the public meteorological authority to ensure we maintain a robust climate dataset. | Take ownership of low and medium complexity requests of support that reach Product Innovation leads and will take increasingly more responsibility in supporting other teams on sweet potato and soybeans.
