ANNOUNCEMENT OF FACULTY POSITION
EARTH University is a private, not-for-profit institution, dedicated to education in agriculture and natural resource management. EARTH is a four-year residential undergraduate institution with approximately 400 students coming from 35 countries, mostly in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. EARTH’s educational model is based on the principles of student-centered and experiential learning. All professor positions are focused on the role of teaching.

TEACHER-FACILITATOR OF LEARNING OF SUSTAINABLE LIVESTOCK SYSTEMS
Cualificaciones
The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor´s degree in Animal Science, with a postgraduate degree (preferably a doctorate) in related areas.
- Vast practical experience in animal production (preferably non-ruminants).
- Experience in animal production systems with the application of sustainable techniques.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence (attach evaluations).
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English
- Excellent ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Willingness to live, work and travel in rural areas.
Responsabilidades
- Facilitate students learning principles, skills, and experiences in sustainable agricultural production systems through the different courses offered in the career.
- Be part of the work team of the academic livestock farm. Be a part of the academic livestock farm working team.
- Facilitate student learning through principles and through applied experiences in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Participate in outreach activities of the University and the International Academic Relations program.
- Participate in research projects, in the Work Experience course, and other activities that involve University students and in scientific or professional activities in their field.
- Support other activities with in the academic program and service to the University (on both campuses: Guácimo, Limón and Liberia, Guanacaste) that contribute to the integral formation of the student.
