More Opportunities for Alumni Outreach

Date: July 23rd, 2021

EARTH’s Chancellor’s Graduate Advisory Council (CGAR) has been strategically organized to create four committees that work in different directions. Two of these include the Strengthening Relations and Communication Committee, and the University Support Committee. The first seeks to connect to the alumni network on a personal and professional basis. On the other hand, the Support Committee generates, together with the University, strategies to create opportunities for current and prospective students and graduates. For example, in 2020 they created a fundraising campaign to offer more scholarships at EARTH.

Between June and July, the Offices of Graduate Relations, President, Global Development and Marketing and Communication, together with CGAR committees, have been conducting focus groups and discussions with EARTHianos from all countries and classes. These sharing spaces have shaped new communication dynamics and strategies that strengthen the graduates relationship with their alma mater and among themselves. We have a better understanding of their ties with EARTH, their experiences as students and their ideas to improve the approach, as well as listen to suggestions that allow institutional sustainability and increase the impact of EARTH in the world.

Over the coming months, we hope to increase these discussion foras  so more alumni can join the conversation and share their ideas and plans for the future.
