The candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Teach the courses of Tropical Crops.
  • Provide the student with the learning of principles, skills and theoretical-practical experiences in agricultural production systems focused on the tropics.
  • Participate in outreach activities of the University and support the activities of the International Academic Relations Office.
  • Participate in research projects, in the Work Experience course and other activities that involve students of the University and in scientific or professional activities in your field.
  • Support other activities of the academic program and provide service to the University (in both campuses: Guácimo, Limón and Liberia. Guanacaste)

The profile of the position requires the following qualifications:

  • Academic degree in agronomy (phytotechnics) with a master´s or doctorate in the area of specialization or a related field, with extensive practical experience in the production of tropical crops, plant nutrition and sustainable agriculture.
  • Experience in facilitating learning processes is highly desirable.
  • International experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent abilities in interdisciplinary and multicultural teamwork.
  • Willing to live, work and move around in rural areas.
