The Certificate in Renewable Energy (Especialización de Energías Renovables in Spanish) has attained full accreditation from European educational-quality certifier ACQUIN. The agency also declared the Certificate’s credits as being equivalent to those at the master’s level.

The interdisciplinary online program – a joint effort between EARTH University and Renewables Academy (RENAC) – facilitates students’ knowledge of diverse renewable-energy technologies, development, project management, financing, support mechanisms and profitability. Additionally, an optional field week takes place on EARTH’s campus in Costa Rica, granting students an opportunity to put into practice all they have learned during the program’s first quarter.

The Spanish-taught Certificate is ideal for those interested in advancing their career in the sustainability and renewables space – from engineers and organizers to consultants and businesspeople.

“The Certificate is not only a theoretical and practical tool, but a great life experience,” said Felipe Alfaro Solís, a program participant. “It fills you with knowledge and best practices.”

RENAC specializes in the international transfer of knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Since 2008, RENAC has taught more than 10,000 people from 147 countries through its workshops and courses.

The next Certificate cohort begins Sept. 1, 2018. Applications must be received by August 15.
