On March 24 of this year, the Salva Terra Foundation and EARTH University signed an agreement that aims to effectively use the human, financial and material resources of both institutions by implementing activities of mutual interest and benefit. This agreement will provide financial support to the University. The Salva Terra Foundation, based in Colombia, promotes processes of collective participation among entities for the purpose of creating strategies, plans and projects on social and environmental matters, and was created by brothers and EARTH graduates Daniel Villegas (’04, Colombia) and David Villegas (’08, Colombia).
Representatives of the Archdiocesan Food Bank Foundation of Medellín, Pontificia Bolivariana University and Natural Heritage were also present at the signing, and had the opportunity to tour EARTH’s Guácimo campus through visits to the fields and meetings with EARTH students, faculty and staff.
