EARTH-La Flor hosts Solar Energy Workshop

From November 4-16, EARTH University’s La Flor Campus in Guanacaste hosted scholars from Central America and Mexico for the Solar Energy Workshop, funded by the United States Department of State in collaboration with Solar Energy International (SEI), a non-profit organization based in Carbondale, Colorado.

The workshop is the final component of an eight-week online course titled “Photovoltaic Solar Energy” and provided valuable hands-on experience for the participants, the majority of whom come from electrical or mechanical engineering backgrounds. During the workshop, three solar panel systems were successfully installed and will remain on campus to supply La Flor with clean energy.
