EARTH has joined efforts with Costa Rican universities, governmental institutions and private companies to participate in a massive country-wide electronics recycling and awareness campaign. The campaign called Por una Costa Rica más verde (For a Greener Costa Rica) is led by Alliarse para el Desarrollo (Join Together for Development) and GEEP (Global Electric Electronic Processing). In its second year, the campaign hopes to provide a solution for Costa Ricans to safely dispose of electronic waste and prevent contaminants from reaching landfills.

As a partner in the campaign, EARTH University invites the community at-large to bring electronic waste to its Guácimo campus on Thursday and Friday, January 24 and 25 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The service is free-of-charge. The recycling and proper disposal of the collected electronics will be handled by GEEP.
