PROMES is a project from AECID, the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development, and EARTH University, who has assisted since 2008 associations and small rural producers around the border towns along the Northern region of the country to market their products and develop their businesses with a more thriving approach.
Thanks to this Project, the Production Action program took off on October 6 and 7 where 25 local pepper producers from the Guatuso, Sarapiquí and the Pococí cantons participated, along with five experts from the Costa Rica’s Agricultural Department (MAG) and Energy and Environment Department (MINAET) and received assistance to improve their technical skills.

The Production Action Project had as its main challenge learning and sharing the knowledge and skills provided in the program by the different pepper producers from the local communities.

During October and November, the pepper producers will participate in various sessions that will allow these farmers to complete eight different technical modules where they would exchange the knowledge learned during this project through notebooks and other didactic tools.
