EARTH president José Zaglul to speak at the World Food Prize Norman E. Borlaug International Symposium

EARTH University president José Zaglul will be a featured speaker during the plenary symposium conversation session:  “Empowering Youth Leaders and Entrepreneurs in Agricultural Engagement and Innovation,” scheduled for 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12 at the World Food Prize Norman E. Borlaug International Symposium in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Zaglul was enthusiastic about his upcoming participation, commenting, “What excites me most about my participation are the themes that the organizers selected for this conversation—youth leadership, empowerment and entrepreneurship.   These issues are at the core of the mission of EARTH, which was founded more than 21 years ago to address the challenges of poverty, hunger and environmental destruction caused by agricultural activities through education. “

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the World Food Prize Norman E.Borlaug International Symposium (http://www.worldfoodprize.org/), which will draw more than 1,000 international leaders to discuss solutions for addressing the world’s current food crises and future needs in feeding people around the globe.
