Recently the World Economic Forum held a conversation about partnerships in Africa. The participants were former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, American businessman and philanthropist Howard Graham Buffett, and PaulKagame, President of Rwanda. During the conversation, the importance of agriculture was discussed, and EARTH University was cited as an excellent example of success in agriculture education.
The Forum’s recognition of the importance that agricultural education plays in the development of poor and middle income countries is an implicit endorsement of EARTH’s mission. Mr. Buffett mentioned his plan to establish an institute in Rwanda based on EARTH’s educational model, which has also been shared at GCHERA and RUFORUM meetings.
