Work Experience
EXP 100 Work Experience
During the 1st year, the Work
Experience course is divided into six modules throughout the year
with duration of seven weeks for each unit. Each week of classes
consists of 11 hours of work experience, one of which is carried
out in a classroom seminar format.
The modules are:
EXP 101 - Value Added
EXP 102 - Animal Production
EXP 103 - Agronomic Practices in the Humid Tropics
EXP 104 - Forestry Practices
EXP 105 - Sustainable Agricultural Practices
EXP 106 - Sustainable Agriculture – Integrated Organic Agriculture
EXP 107 - Horticultural Production
EXP 200 Work Experience
During the 2nd year, the Work
Experience course is divided into six modules throughout the year
with duration of seven weeks for each unit. Each week of classes
consists of 11 hours of work experience, one of which is carried
out in a classroom seminar format.

EXP201 – Sustainable Agriculture
EXP202 – Integrated Pest Management
EXP203 – Integrated Livestock Systems
EXP204 – Management of Natural Resources
EXP205 – Agricultural Engineering
EXP206 – Topography
EXP207 – Waste Management
EXP 300 Work Experience
During the 3rd year the Work Experience courses
take place outside of the university campus. This activity consists
of two modules of 15 weeks each, each with 11 hours of work per
week, which are carried out in EARTH’s neighboring communities.
The modules are:
EXP301 – Community Work
EXP302 – Sustainable Agricultural Practices and the Rural
Family Module
EXP 401 Work Experience-Personnel
Management Module
During the 4th year the student has the opportunity
to learn about administration of farm personnel through planning,
organization, direction and evaluation of the work carried out by
students and farm workers in the production units of the academic
and commercial farms.
The student learns and masters the skills necessary for the effective
and efficient management of human resources in institutions and
businesses. He/she integrates the concepts he/she has learned in
different courses to improve his/her leadership skills.
Ten hours of fieldwork and one hour of reflection per week.
