EARTH celebrates the first “No Cars Day” of 2015

On March 19, EARTH University celebrated the first “No Cars Day” of the year on our campus in Guácimo. This activity promotes the use of public and electric transportation instead of regular cars and features the participation of everyone in the EARTH community.

Manrique Arguedas, head of the Environmental Action Unit, explains that “This activity is about making sure every member of the community is aware of the implications of using fossil fuel and promoting physical exercise as well.”

This is the 23rd institutional “No Cars Day” and the next will take place on June 4th, 2015.
