The Vice Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia (center) and distinguished guests tour EARTH’s campus to learn more about EARTH’s innovative educational model.

From October 10-11, the Vice Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia Dr. Musliar Kasim will be visiting EARTH’s campus in Guácimo order to learn more about EARTH’s educational model and curriculum, specifically relating to Sustainable Agriculture. Distinguished guests Abdullah Alkaff, Anas Fauzi Miftah, Haryo Winarso and Veronica Enda Wulandari accompany the Vice Minister.

The group will take in a variety of presentations from University faculty about EARTH’s innovative curriculum, and will also be given an extensive tour of campus, most notably the fields, academic farms and laboratories where EARTH students develop essential practical skills in agriculture.

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, “EARTH University is the eminent institution on the subject of [sustainable agriculture]. Therefore, the Ministry would like to learn about the curriculum of EARTH University on Sustainable Agriculture that has already proven to be successful in preparing your students with the competencies required to respond to the needs of today’s world. We strongly believe that what we learn and discuss during our visit to your campuses can be beneficial and useful for our sustainable agricultural curriculum development.”
