On July 5-6, 2014 EARTH University welcomed nearly 7,000 visitors on its Guácimo campus for the annual EARTH Multicultural Fair.

Activities included a recreational cycling event, which attracted approximately 2,000 riders; an eight kilometer fun walk; and performances from the popular Costa Rican bands Sonámbulo Psicotropical and Son de Tikizia.

In addition to traditional foods and dances from countries around the world, visitors were also able to watch the World Cup semi-final game between Costa Rica and the Netherlands.  At “World Cup” zones throughout the Fair, some 800 people watched the live broadcast of the match.

The Multicultural Fair is organized by EARTH students with the objective of raising the funds necessary to bring at least one family member of each graduating student to their graduation in December.

“Coordinating the EARTH Multicultural Fair was an incredible experience; in addition to everything I learned, you give your heart and soul in these two days to reach a dream that our whole class shares,” remarks fourth-year student Juan Sebastián Camacho (‘14, Ecuador).
